Do you like to stay fit? Would you prefer to be active than sat at a desk? Then you've applied for the right course - a career in Sport will promise to be a rewarding one.

Our sport courses will help you to develop as a coach, explore anatomy, physiology and psychology of sport. You can learn everything from fitness training and sports injuries to measuring performance and nutrition.

Facilities

As part of your Sport course, you will have access to a number of state-of-the-art and purpose built facilities in order to aid your learning. These include 3G Pitches, Sports Hall and Gym facilities.

Beth Roberts, England Ladies Footballer

England U19 International Beth Roberts, is a current NSCG HNC Sport student and member of the Andy Griffin Football Academy (AGFA).

Lewis Salmon

Boxer and L3 Extended Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science student, Lewis, was successful at the England Boxing National Youth Championships which resulted in him being selected to represent England in the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships.

Sporting Superstars

Last year we were pleased to welcome Olympic gold medalist, Sally Gunnell to NSCG for an inspiring Q&A on her sporting highs and lows.

Bridie Harding

NSCG Sport Development student and member of the AGFA, Bridie Harding achieved D*D*D* in her studies and after a successful scholarship application, secured her place at Keyano College, Canada to study Education.

Ethan Cartwright

Sport student Ethan is part of the Andy Griffin Football Academy (AGFA) and has represented his country at a national level as part of the English Colleges Football Association (ECFA) National squad.

Lucy Holt

Former student Lucy is talented cross country runner, representing NSCG at three AoC National Championships winning Gold at each. Having studied a BTEC Level 3 & HNC/D in Sport she has now progressed onto Derby University to top-up her degree.

Sport Volunteering

Students get the opportunity as part of their course to undertake volunteering schemes, just like former student Chloe Walchester who supported at the AoC Sport National Championships and the Stoke City Community Programme alongside her studies.
